This is a completely new exhaust designed from scratch and constructed using lightweight race-proven materials. A carbon-fibre muffler outer sleeve, heatshield, and clamp, a titanium end cap, stainless-steel header, resonator, and link pipe, and a black-coated aluminium muffler bracket create a weight saving of 39.6% (3.2 kg) over the stock exhaust. Alternate routing of the exhaust places it on the right side of the machine (the standard version goes under the bike), resulting in a more racing style, and the carbon-fibre heatshield provides protection from heat and an attractive final touch. It offers power and torque increases of 4.7 kW (6.4 hp) at 9,200 rpm and 4.7 Nm at 7,650 rpm, respectively, when tested on the Akrapovič dyno and compared to a Suzuki GSX-8S equipped with the standard stock system.
The exhaust has a resonator in the link pipe, giving the rider a unique sound experience, with a racing and vivid tone, while not compromising performance. The plug-and-play installation means no remapping is needed.
This exhaust system is compatible with the original Suzuki soft side cases set.
